SLI Exhibits at APHSA-ISM Conference – Quality Assurance and Software Testing are Emphasized

SLI Global Solutions exhibited our service offerings at the annual American Public Human Service Association – IT Solutions Management (APHSA-ISM) conference in Austin, TX.

SLI's Vice President of Government Solutions, Steven Esposito  and Account Executive, Peyton Langford, met with over 150 state and local government IT professionals to learn about their systems initiatives and identify ways to reduce project risks.  Many government agencies expressed a special interest in SLI’s software testing services, which includes functional testing as well as security/penetration testing, and load and performance testing.

A common message at the ISM conference expressed by state staff as well as federal officials was the importance of the role of Quality Assurance (QA) and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) on complex IT projects.  A number of ISM presenters at the breakout sessions reported that the full-time QA/IV&V was critical to the success of their systems development efforts.  The presenters also said it was important to have the QA vendor on board at the procurement planning stage and to have the QA team present for post-implementation to assess the stabilization efforts and warranty phase of the project.  SLI has a successful history of providing these vital services and it was gratifying to hear government officials extol their benefits.
