SLI President, Mark Phillips joined representatives from CORHIO, the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology and other health IT industry leaders on a panel that addressed Federal and Local Trends and Issues in 2011 and Beyond at the Technology Health Innovation Conference, sponsored by the Colorado Technology Association. Members of the panel represented a wide spectrum from public to private sectors and non-profits. Topics addressed included the barriers to health IT adoption and proposed solutions, new developments here in Colorado and nationwide and the need for a sustaining business model for state-wide health exchanges. Mark provided an overview of the ONC certification program, practical information for those seeking certification and a preview of anticipated changes as ONC progresses to future stages of the testing and certification program.
