SLI was pleased to be a part of the 8th Annual Women Cook Dining Event in Denver this week as a "Sous Chef" sponsor. The event held each spring to honor new graduates from the the Work Options for Women program, as well as, offer guests to try culinary delights from some of Denver's best restaurants.
SLI is a proud supporter of the Work Options for Women (WOW) which was founded in 1996 with a mission to combat homelessness and poverty by providing unemployed women with the confidence and skills they need to become gainfully and permanently employed in the food service industry. WOW has trained and placed over 300 women in cooking and food service positions since its inception.
