SysTest Labs recently unveiled a redesigned protocol for testing electronic voting systems based on the requirements of the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) certification program. “The new protocol allows for a more efficient and effective testing process and one that is considerably more aligned with the EAC’s goals and objectives for testing under its certification program,” said Mark Phillips, SysTest Labs Vice President of Compliance Services. “It is able to identify where and how each and every federal requirement is addressed throughout the testing process to ensure full compliance with federal rules.” In its redesign effort, SysTest Labs developed a modular set of test methods designed for greater efficiency and transparency. The test modules can be combined into suites for entire systems, or can be focused on functional or other enhancements to existing products. This approach eliminates testing inefficiencies caused by very large, undifferentiated test cases, while at the same time, providing the clarity needed for repeatability. |
