OverviewSoftware Test Analysts are responsible for testing an application or information system, developed by a third party. Test Analysts are required to follow test plans, test cases, and detailed test procedures that will lead them through the test effort.
Job Specifications
- Testers must have a working knowledge of Windows 3.1x series, Windows 95, NT, 98, 2000, and/or XP. Experience with other operating systems such as UNIX 2. is a PLUS.
- Experience as an End User with any computer based business system is a PLUS.
- A 4-year college degree in any discipline is desired but not required.
- The Tester does not have to have any experience or knowledge of programming languages. It would be beneficial if the candidate has some basic concepts of the 6.
- Software Development Life Cycle, although these concepts will be taught to all software testing employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The job responsibilities involve working with a team of software testers, managed by experienced software Test Engineer, and executing software test procedures 2. developed by the Test Engineer.
- Each tester will be responsible for thoroughly System Testing their portion of an application or information system that has been developed by a third party (the Client). System Testing may consist of integration testing, functional testing, recovery testing, performance, stress, and load testing, data integrity testing, operational end-to-end testing, usability testing, and documentation testing.
- The Tester will be required to follow comprehensive test plans, test cases, and detailed test procedures that will lead them through the test effort.
- Tester will be exposed to numerous different types of software applications and information systems running in different environments and will be required to spend on the job time learning these new environments.
- Provided they complete the required training, Testers may be required to use automated software test tools and software engineering tools (such as requirements management tools) in performing their duties.
Working Conditions
- All Testers must be able to work on-site at SysTest Labs facility in Denver, Colorado.
- Hours are Monday through Friday 8am –5pm.
- Non-exempt, hourly employee.
