Job Description:
 
Overview
Lead Video Games Testers are responsible for testing applications developed by a third party.  Lead Video Games Testers are required to follow test plans, test cases, and detailed test procedures that will lead them through the test effort.  They will also be responsible for reporting defects in explicit detail.

Job Specifications
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to verify eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • A 2-year degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear penmanship and good spelling/grammar.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, willing to learn and adaptable to new processes.
  • Previous video games testing experience is required, ideally with Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo.
  • In depth understanding of formal test and development processes.
  • Excellent understanding of PC and console game testing
  • Strong project and time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Enthusiastic, positive, team oriented, and organized

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The job responsibilities involve working with a team of software testers, managed by experienced software Test Engineer, and executing software test procedures developed by the Test Engineer.
  • Each tester will be responsible for thoroughly testing their portion of an application that has been developed by a third party (the Client). Testing may consist of functional testing, operational end-to-end testing, usability testing, and documentation testing.
  • The Tester will be required to follow comprehensive test plans, test cases, and detailed test procedures that will lead them through the test effort.
  • The tester will be required to enter and track defects in a defect reporting system, and will be required to validate repair of reported defects in the application.
  • Tester will be exposed to numerous different types of software applications and information systems running in different environments and will be required to spend on the job time learning these new environments.

Working Conditions
  • All Testers must be able to work on-site at SysTest Labs facility in Denver, Colorado.
  • Hours are Monday through Friday 8am –5pm.
  • Availability for night/weekend overtime to support project requirements.
  • Non-exempt, hourly employee.
