SOFTWARE TEST LEAD

SysTest Labs is seeking an experienced software professional to provide leadership for a test team supporting a large software project integration effort with two branches. The two branches are two separate development efforts, one a web-based childcare application and the other a new GUI developed for a legacy mainframe SACWIS system.  As part of the delivery team, the test team supports the project development team by conducting formal requirements management, test case development and test execution for each branch.

Deliverables for this test team include:
Functional test cases developed from designs
Requirements Traceability Matrix
Data Conversion Testing
Network Performance Testing

Additionally, the test team is responsible for Defect Management and development of a formal Test Report at the conclusion of testing for each branch of the project. 
This position will work closely with the development team and the State client to ensure the testing tasks are completed.  Duties include organizing the test deliverable schedule across both branches to meet deadlines, supporting the project manager with test team status and needs, interfacing with other managers on the project team (client and development management), and reviewing all deliverables.  The Test team lead will also be responsible for reporting status on this project to SysTest Labs management. The qualified candidate must have excellent organizational skills and be very detail-oriented, as well as being self-directed and assertive.  The candidate chosen will exhibit the ability to structure tasks, determine their constraints, and find effective and optimal solutions. Excellent analytical ability is desired, with strong consultative, communication and management skills. Good judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients and project management and staffs is desired. The Test team consists of this lead and two test specialists.

The chosen candidate must have the following:
-Bachelor’s Degree
-4 years experience on software development projects
-Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
-High proficiency in creating detailed test cases from requirements documents
-Demonstrated ability using fundamentals in formal testing methodologies, tools   and procedures
-Strong analytical skills, with experience working with functional and technical      requirements documents
-Experience with both automated and manual test tools, particularly IBM Rational      Tools (RequisitePro, ClearQuest)
-Demonstrated skills in requirements analysis.
-Excellent communication skills used to interface with customers on a day to day  basis
-Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
