ATOM™ is based on best practices and industry standards articulated by the PMBOK, CMMI, IEEE, and ISO and has been instrumental in improving the quality of our customers’ systems and applications. In addition, ATOM™ has proven to reduce the cost of software test engineering and quality assurance.

ATOM™ works, because it supports the "real world" application of these standards, such as IEEE Standard 1012-1998 for Software Verification and Validation, IEEE Standard 1074-1997 applicable to Developing Software Lifecycle Processes, and ISO 9000-2 governing Software Quality Assurance, among others.

Because it’s so systematic and so powerful, ATOM™ has been audited and designated as an approved methodology for use in providing independent Certification Testing for the Election Administration Commission (EAC). In addition, SysTest Labs uses ATOM™ in IV&V and software test engineering efforts for commercial clients, as well as State and Federal agencies.

ATOM™ represents over ninety SysTest Labs Procedures that cover the systems implementation lifecycle from planning through deployment. The methodology has been purposely structured in a modular fashion to provide utmost flexibility and productivity and the SLPs provide the standard approach for our project teams, enabling us to have both flexible as well as consistent and repeatable processes applied to our project assignments. This highly defined structure allows for uniform quality across all projects.
