Dan Weiske Named New Manager of Software Security Compliance

DENVER (March 21, 2007)SysTest Labs, a Denver-based national leader in software testing and one of the premier software and hardware test labs in the country, continues to augment its growing security practice with the addition of Dan Weiske as its new manager of software security compliance.

In his new role, Weiske will expand SysTest Labs’ security services practice by helping clients assess threats to software throughout the development cycle and by offering solutions to meet regulatory requirements for safe, secure applications and IT infrastructure.

Weiske brings eight years of experience auditing and administrating security polices and controls, with a focus on conducting vulnerability and penetration testing using white box, grey box and black box methodologies.

“With Dan’s software auditing experience, SysTest Labs now has the ability to test policies, program architecture, system design, and code from development through production,” said Ron Wood, director of security services for SysTest Labs. “His InfoSec background, including ethical hacking and penetration testing, enhances our suite of quality assurance services to meet the demands of any environment.”

Weiske holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and is a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He has managed federal and state projects following NIST, ISO 17799-27001 and HIPAA requirements.
