EAC approves SysTest Labs’ action plan |

SysTest Labs recently made significant progress toward resuming the company’s work of independent certification of voting systems. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission has approved a detailed action plan by SysTest Labs to ultimately lift EAC accreditation suspension, which was submitted to the EAC by SysTest Labs’ Mark Phillips. Brian Phillips Announces Retirement from SysTest Labs |

Brian Phillips today announced his intention to retire as chief executive officer and president from SysTest Labs of Denver at the end of November. Statement in Response to EAC Suspension of Accreditation |

SysTest Labs has received notice from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) of its decision to suspend SysTest Labs’ accreditation as a Voting System Test Laboratory (VSTL). SysTest Labs intends to provide procedural and other technical detail and create a detailed plan as outlined by the EAC to address specific concerns. |

The Allegheny County Elections Division today announced it has verified the firmware on a random sample of 18 voting machines. The testing was conducted at the County’s elections warehouse on Saturday and today under the supervision of County Election officials following protocols developed in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of State. |
