Quality Management

Quality Management is a subset of project management and is comprised of standards-based Quality Planning, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing activities that are put into action to ensure that a project satisfies the objectives for which it was undertaken.  SysTest Labs applies Quality Management as part of a comprehensive approach to manage risk and help ensure a successful project outcome.

An effectively deployed Quality Management approach significantly reduces the risks associated with implementing new software applications, business processes or other tactical business initiatives.

  • Quality Planning. The process of establishing project quality by creating, implementing and maintaining a Quality Management Plan that allows the project to look ahead and consider quality in all its tasks.
  • Quality Assurance. A set of systematic activities designed to ensure that the design, development, implementation or maintenance process is adequate for the system to meet its objectives.  QA applies tools and forensic measures to gauge the effectiveness of processes used to build or maintain a system.
  • Quality Control. A set of activities designed to monitor specific project results against standards and eliminate unsatisfactory results.  QC provides the ongoing review, assessment, management and prioritization of tasks and deliverables to ensure that standards are met.
  • Testing. The process of executing a system with the intent of finding and fixing defects.
SysTest Labs’ extensive expertise in deploying Quality Management programs, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles, has helped federal, state and local government agencies successfully implement a broad spectrum of complex software applications.
